Warning to Leeds stars as Oster is axed By PAUL DEWS LEEDS UNITED today issued a simple warning to their players: "Behave or else." United sent on-loan winger John Oster back to Sunderland yesterday and fined young Australian star Jamie McMaster a maximum two weeks wages and warned him about his future conduct following an incident at the club's Christmas party.
The pair were suspended on Christmas Eve following allegations about breaches of club discipline and were punished after showdown talks with the management team.
United boss Kevin Blackwell had already carpeted Oster after he was arrested outside a Durham nightclub two weeks ago and insists he does not want the club's reputation sullied.
Blackwell and assistant boss Sam Ellis were quick to warn the rest of the squad that off-field shenanigans will not be tolerated.
Ellis said: "We need players whose conduct is of the highest order and we have to ensure that those standards are maintained. The majority of the players here understand that and know that we will not tolerate anything less.
