(From Yorkshire Evening Post)
BY ANDREW HUTCHINSON THE winners of a prestigious talent search to find Leeds's very own chart stars of tomorrow have been unveiled.
Bright Young Things has a proven track record for finding new talent with previous winners going on to sign record deals with major labels.
The winning artists can now look forward to the chance to perform live at a high profile venue in Leeds while one of their tracks will be available on a special CD which will be available from March.
This year's competition, run by Leeds City Council, saw a panel of industry experts choose 10 winners in the 19 to 25 age range besides five from the 13 to 18 age group.
They included all-female grunge metal four piece Blood Sundae from Oakwood in Leeds.
Exposure Emily Bandawe, Blood Sundae lead singer and guitarist, said: "We only came together as a band in March of this year so the exposure we will receive from an organised live gig and the CD will be fantastic!" Lewis Denby is a bass player with Mr Charming who were announced as one of the winners in the 13 to 18 age group.
