Last night's celebrations saw loved ones meet up to mark the beginning of a brand new year.

Over 210,000 people are reported missing in the UK every year. Most return safe and sound within a few days - but thousands don't.
The National Missing Persons Helpline (NMPH) was set up in 1992 to advise and support missing people and those who have been left behind.
