Robert Sutcliffe THE brother of a woman feared dead told yesterday of his heartache for his two young nephews.

Nick Mullan, 52, of Heaton, Bradford, said he was initially not too concerned when he first heard reports of the disaster.

He had assumed that Catherine Mullan, 53, her partner Leonard Barratt, 49, and their two boys, Louis Barratt Mullan, 16, and his brother Theo, 12, were on holiday in the northern part of Thailand, out of harm's way.

But later he discovered they were in fact on the beach in Takua Pa, near Phuket, when the deadly waves struck on Boxing Day. The two brothers fly back to Britain today.

Their parents who lived in a partially converted barn near Truro, Cornwall, are still missing presumed dead.

Mr Mullan said: "I tried to reassure my sister, Philo, when she phoned me up in a bit of a panic on Boxing Day.
