Men and women in power suits were greeted by two women dressed as a giant rabbit and guinea pig.
Lydia Ross and Chrissie Slater dressed up as the favoured pets to impress investors and gain support for their company, Scratch and Newton, which aims to improve the lives of the UK's 1.3m rabbits.
The duo invested more than GBP50,000 in product development to produce the Hutch Snuggle, made with thermal insulation developed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in the United States, designed to keep hutches warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Demand for the products has been high and orders have been received from as far a field as Hawaii.The two women spotted a gap in a market that last year saw more than GBP30m spent on cages and hutches alone.
