FROM fancy dinners to island-hopping treats, the holiday season presented a basket full of surprises. One, nobody gave me a fruitcake. Two, I set up two Christmas trees to double the Yuletide spirit. Three, I capped the year being the godfather of the cutest baby boy who will inherit the whole of Boracay.
How's that for a fruitful year?
What: First: Tina Tinio's annual Christmas dinner, Dynasty-themed, complete with Joan Collins, Linda Evans, Lorenzo Llamas and Heather Locklear lookalikes (I think that's me, with my blonde hair). As usual, La Tinio, being one of the scene's "hostesses with the mostest" (how much more '80s can I get?) had everything prepared-party favors (my favorite ChocNuts), fab food (mom Mary Ann Tinio is known to host lavish dinners as well) and a motley crew of fantastic people (us, of course!)
Second: I am in Boracay as I write this, being one of 20 pairs of ninongs and ninangs (beat that, Ruffa) for the baptism of Tyler Broughton Sumndad, or Ty, as his parents Datu and Claire ...
