THE YULETIDE season is almost over. Christmas decorations are starting to be taken down and the leftovers are almost gone. But what about that extra weight you gained while gorging on holiday meals?
Now that the partying has slowed down a bit, perhaps it's time to begin a diet and exercise regimen to help shed those gained weight after weeks of overindulgence.
"The holiday season is the toughest time of the year to keep good eating habits in check. People feast more than they normally would and the types of food they eat are decked with more calories and fat," says Dr.Gary Sy, medical director of Life Extension Medical Center.
Compounding the problem of holiday overindulgence is the fact that many people postpone or fall off their usual workout program due to conflicts in schedule.
For some, the holiday overindulging will result in more than a tighter waistband.
