Shreyas Shipping (SS) is planning to expand its operations from the east coast to the west coast of India. It will launch freight services on the east coast as a low-cost alternative for cargo moving from Chennai and Visakhapatnam terminals.

Plans include acquiring of 2-3 second hand container vessels by Jul 2005 at an investment of $22 million. Besides, SS will enhance its presence in the logistics market through strategic tie-ups.
