Louis W. Alexander

Louis W. Alexander, 84, Bradenton, died Dec. 30, 2004.

He was born July 5, 1920, in Mooresville, N.C., and came to Manatee County in 1957 from there. He retired as a subcontractor in Manatee County. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a charter member of Bayshore Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Myrtle; a daughter, Barbara Harding of Wilmington, N.C.; a sister, Nell Lee of Mooresville; a brother, Clifford "Bill" of Bradenton; two grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.

The visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, with a service to follow, at Bayshore Baptist Church in Bradenton. Burial will be in Palmetto. Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 26th Street Chapel, is in charge.
