Associated Press BAGHDAD, Dec. 30. - US troops and warplanes killed at least 25 insurgents as they attacked an American outpost in northern Iraq with a car bomb and explosives, the US military said today. In Mosul, a US soldier died after the fierce clash, yesterday, the military said. A car bomb exploded near a US outpost in western Mosul and American soldiers arriving at the scene of the blast were attacked by rocket-propelled grenades, small arms fire and a roadside bomb.
