Soma Mookherjee in Kolkata Dec. 30. - While the chief minister sermonises about attracting investment and developing infrastructure, his party men have been instigating residents of Singur in Hooghly to thwart progress of the key Golden Quadrilateral project. The residents, backed by ruling party members, have stopped work on widening the NH-2 for a month now. National Highway Authority of India officials now feel that widening work on stretches of the highway will not meet the 26 February deadline.
