Hard-working cancer staff are angels, not 'inefficient'.

I was somewhat disturbed to read the article relating to cancer staff at Canberra Hospital (CT, December 30).

I had the misfortune of spending several weeks in the Canberra Hospital in both the oncology and thoracic wards in 2003 and I am unable to accept the word ''inefficient'' to describe the dedication and professional service I received from both the medical and nursing staff.

The service I received was well above expectation.

I have often seen the doctors doing the rounds in the morning and still attending to patients in late evening.
