Beijing, 29 December: China's top legislator Wu Bangguo issued letters of appointment to 10 members of the Basic Law Committee of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) here on Wednesday [29 December].

The Basic Law Committee of the Macao SAR, a subordinate body of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress (NPC), consists of 10 members. Five members are from the Chinese mainland, five are locals.
