It's a whole new world of computing and connectivity experience. Wi-fi or wireless fidelity allows you to work on your laptop or check e-mails from anywhere. You can retrieve files or presentations from the corporate network and browse the Net and send messages to colleagues from your company's garden.

What is wi-fi?

Wi-fi or Wireless Fidelity is the most popular wireless local area networking technology used worldwide.

It refers to any type of 802.11 network-802.11b, 802.11a, dual-band, etc. It is the most popular high-speed wireless technology used to connect PCs, laptops and handheld computers to each other and the Internet.

Wi-fi is a wireless technology like a cell phone. Wi-Fi enabled computers can send and receive data indoors and out.
