Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - Burkina Faso and the World Bank have signed an accord for $63.58 million to support the electricity sector of the West African nation, a finance ministry statement said here Thursday.

It said the agreement signed by the Burkinabe embassy in the United States and the World Bank was primarily intended to increase the competitiveness of the national economy to stimulate growth and employment.
