Dear Mr Foot,
You wanted to understand why the vagrant beggar was described as a hypocrite, and that required subscribing to the theory of postmodernism? Gee, what happened to plain old common sense?
Why does the bleeding obvious have to be dressed up in convoluted language, and presented as profound and difficult to understand? This is my rap with postmodernism--it's like the practitioners are afraid that if anyone got too close, they'd see they weren't wearing any clothes.
