Trade: Vietnam, South Korea Reap Good Trade Since 1992.

Vietnam and South Korea have had good performances in trade since they established their bilateral ties on December 22, 1992, said South Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Yoo Tae-hyun on the occasion of 12th anniversary of the two countries' relations.

The two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and South Korea was just $500 million in 1992, Yoo said. The figure had increased by six folds to $3.25 billion by 2003 and is expected to climb to $4 billion this year.

According to official statistics, the total investment of South Korea in Vietnam has also risen from $186 million 12 years ago to $4.7 billion at the moment, which ranks …
