Legacy Society
Those of us who knew and worked with Margaret Lorince were deeply saddened by her death on July 31, 2004. Margaret held numerous MTNA state, division and national offices, including the presidency from 1991-1993. She was honored as a FOUNDATION Fellow in 2003.
It has been said often that we see so far only because we stand on the shoulders of those who preceded us. Margaret was a former trustee of the MTNA FOUNDATION, and she worked tirelessly on its behalf. During my tenure, she served on the planned giving committee. At a FOUNDATION breakfast meeting during the 2002 MTNA National Conference, she gave an impassioned plea for members to join the Legacy Society of MTNA to ensure its future.
MTNA benefits greatly from bequests, trusts, life insurance and other such planned gifts. These one-time gifts ensure the future of MTNA by generating the resources necessary to perpetuate the work of its members beyond their individual lifetimes.
Planned giving is one way Margaret Lorince chose to extend her own life's work and all of ours as well. Might you consider honoring Margaret, whose life enriched MTNA in so many ways, by responding to her 2002 request and joining the Legacy Society?
