Teva, Ranbaxy co-launch hypertension medication.

Israel's Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq:TEVA; TASE:TEVA) and India's Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals Inc. announced today that Teva has begun commercially shipping quinapril hydrochloride tablets, 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg.

Quinapril HCl tablets are the AB-rated generic equivalent of Accupril tablets, made by Parke Davis (a division of Pfizer), for the treatment of high blood pressure.

The tablets are manufactured under Ranbaxy's ANDA, which received final FDA approval, and will be sold under the Teva label and marketed by Teva USA.
