Ski Balls to kick off countdown to Torino.(national team News)
The countdown to the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy has begun. The annual Ski and Snowboard Balls hosted by the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation events took place in six cities across the country: San Francisco (Oct. 1), Silicon Valley (Oct. 2), Chicago (Oct. 29), New York (Nov. 4), New England (Boston, Nov. 12) and the Colorado Train for Gold in Winter Park, CO. (scheduled March 4).
