Five thousand current and former employees at Bell Canada voted overwhelmingly to accept a $100-million pay equity settlement in June.
The settlement to the 14-year-old dispute covers Bell Canada employees who worked in jobs occupied primarily by women, including operators, dining service and house services workers from 1993 to 1999. The company and the union agreed to mediation last year.
