Sep. 17--PRATTVILLE -- Drivers who travel Cobbs Ford Road to Interstate 65 might want to consider an alternate route for about the next six months.

Crews are expected to begin work Monday morning to widen and improve the busiest commuter route in Prattville. The work area will reach from Alabama 6/U.S. 82 to the interstate. A median will be constructed, service roads will be added and traffic signals will be put up at the Rocky Mount Road intersection.

"Boy, it's going to be a mess," said Art Bishop of Prattville. "There's a tremendous amount of traffic on that road. I'm not looking forward to the next few months."
