By Ashley Marshall GOING to 18 pubs and cycling 27 miles in a day may seem a little hectic to most of us, but nearly 50 people from the area did just that on Wednesday to raise around GBP2,700 for charity.
Setting off from the Green Dragon at Exelby, the cyclists rode around six villages, calling at a host of pubs for refreshments and sandwiches as they went.
Eight hours later, the determined, if not somewhat merry, group found their way back to Exelby for a final celebration drink, proudly clutching their makeshift passports which they got signed in each pub they stopped off at.
