Ale fans get ready to sample 150 brews at this year's big beer festival.

By Mark Lavery REAL ale fans are licking their lips at the prospect of sampling 150 cask brews at the upcoming 16th annual Merrie City Beer Festival in Wakefield. The festival is being held in the main sports hall at Lightwaves Leisure Centre from Thursday to Saturday, October 12 to 14.

It will showcase beers from six local breweries along with a worthy selection from the rest of Yorkshire.
