The Ceramics Fair is renowned for its mix of dealers, collectors, and academics, for its lecture program, and for its superb collection of rare European antique ceramics and glass, as well as 20th century studio ceramics and glass--all strictly vetted before going on sale. June 16-17. Oley, Pa. ANTIQUES IN THE VALLEY. Show hours: Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sixty highly respected antique dealers from the New England and Mid-Atlantic states will be showcasing their finest 18th, 19th, and early 20th century pieces. Emphasis will be on 18th and 19th century American Furniture, folk art, textiles, pottery, early metals and related accessories. To add to the excitement of the show, a special exhibit in the school's lobby will focus on the "Treasures from the Valley," a colorful exhibit of "Coverlets and their Makers" all by local weavers from the Oley Valley area. Admission: $6 per person, a portion of the proceeds benefits student scholarships at Oley Valley. Location: Oley Valley High School in Berks County, located on Route 73 in southeastern Pennsylvania. June 17-18. Wilton, Conn. WILTON OUTDOOR ANTIQUES SHOW. Show hours: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Early buying: Saturday, 8:30 to 10 a.m. Some of America's finest dealers will show 18th, 19th, and early 20th century American, English, Europeans, and Oriental furniture, decorative arts, folk art, fine art, ceramics, textiles, Indian arts, jewelry, silver, toys, garden objects, and architecturals in room settings under tents. A special feature this year is flag identification and appraisal by experts J. Richard Pierce or Dr. J. Kenneth Kohn. An unequaled source for fine antiques, Wilton is the destination for serious collectors, designers, and those who are beginning collections.
