New Music at New College; Concert series mixes traditional, experimental sounds.(TICKET)

Sarasota digs live experimental audio, and the proof is in the devotees of "New Music New College."

Annually, they can be seen rising from their seats, shaking about, making noises and having full-on harmonic experiences. Whether campus folk or community spectators, people flock to the modernistic 60-minute concerts.

And this year, they're truly something to behold.

In the program's eighth season, the lineup has expanded into a five-part series, which kicks off Saturday with pianist Lynn Raley and continues every other month through May.
