PITTSBURGH -- As published in the September issue of Congenital Cardiology Today, physicians at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital have seen an improvement in charge capture accuracy for medical devices and supplies due to the implementation of a clinical resource management system that leverages radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. Developed by Mobile Aspects, Inc., of Pittsburgh, Pa., the cabinet-based system, called iRISupply(TM), is deployed in the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratories of the hospital to store, track, and manage the utilization of high cost items such as stents, catheters, and guidewires.
