Ralph R. Baker

Ralph R. "Dick" Baker, 70, Punta Gorda, died Aug. 31, 2006.

He was born Nov. 28, 1935, in Plainfield, Ohio, and came to Punta Gorda in 1986 from Coshocton, Ohio. He retired in 1984 from the Ohio Department of Transportation.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Sons of the American Legion Post 103.

Survivors include his wife, Shelva; children Richard, Mary, Christi, Jonnie and Sandra, all of Ohio; a brother in Ohio; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be later. Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, Punta Gorda Chapel, is handling arrangements.
