MITSUI OSK Lines (MOL) once again managed to command the presence of the Philippine president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. This time she attended the latest extension of its crew training facilities, which were officially opened on Wednesday, writes Mike Grinter in Hong Kong.
The completion of a new dormitory is one of the main redevelopment projects at the company's crew training centre.
MOL launched the redevelopment project to further expand its crew training facilities in the Philippines. The company plans to recruit and train top quality Filipino seafarers to meet the needs of the fleet expansion outlined in the MOL STEP mid-term management plan.
