WOULD-be port of Le Havre towage newcomer SNRH is to return to court in an attempt to reverse the port authority's latest decision to withdraw its operating permit.
A hearing is due to take place before the administrative court in Rouen on September 15 after the port authority told the company that, after initially suspending its operating permit, it had decided to withdraw it altogether.
The new move by the port authority came after the company challenged its decision to suspend the operating permit granted to SNRH last year.
It claimed that SNRH, which is controlled by Netherlands towage group Kotug, had failed to provide adequate assurances regarding its capacity to meet the port's security and safety requirements, notably provision of a 24-hour emergency service.
