MELBOURNE, Sept 1 Asia Pulse - Explosives producer Dyno Nobel Ltd (ASX:DXL) has taken another step forward towards the construction of a $A500 million ($US381.12 million) ammonium nitrate plant in Queensland.
Dyno Thursday said it had entered into a heads of agreement with construction firm United Group Ltd (ASX:UGL) to build the plant at Moranbah in Queensland (QNB), which will be capable of producing about 300,000 tonnes of ammonium nitrate per annum.
Dyno is nearing the completion of a feasibility study for the facility.
Dyno will work towards a final contract in October 2006.
Contract progression will be conditional upon conclusion of other project agreements including those for the supply of raw material inputs to production.
