NEW DELHI, Sept 1 Asia Pulse - The Government on Thursday said further customs duty cut on wheat imports, which was brought down to five per cent in early August, was not likely in the near future.

"We will review the import situation in December till then there will be no duty cut on wheat imports," a senior Finance Ministry official said.

"The Government does not want a situation where there is too much of import," he said adding that this situation will not be good signal for the farmers. ...
