When the Englewood Jaycees Pioneer Days parade steps off on Monday, it will be filled with years of Englewood's history.

This year, as part of its 50-year celebration, the Englewood Jaycees announced it had selected members from 10 longtime Englewood families to represent 50 years of pioneers.

According to organizer Don Platt, though, there will be 11 families.

"One for good measure," he said.

Each family has contributed in some way to the growth and development that makes up Englewood today.
