Under a warm late-May sun in London, Ky., the World PowerSports Association taped its knuckles, strapped on its boxing gloves and prepared for a fight. The WPSA is battling another long-time National race series for rider and fan attendance: The Moose Racing/ITP ATVA MX Nationals. While some riders--and hopefully a lot of fans--will take in a few events from each series, ultimately people are forced to choose. With gas prices expanding like Barry Bond's head, it's not feasible for riders to attend every race from both series. Why? Because winning a national title in just one series takes dedication, tons of prep time and sleepless hours on the road.
