Aug. 30--Tropical Storm Ernesto, the fifth named storm of the 2006 hurricane season, was on track late Tuesday to largely spare the Keys any serious physical damage.
But with a non-resident evacuation called early Sunday afternoon and motels, hotels and inns telling visitors they can't stay, Ernesto is sure to have an economic impact on the islands. That includes such businesses as fishing and dive charters, restaurants, bars and retail shops.
Not affected - and actually feeling an economic boost - were the usual haunts: Stores such as Home Depot, Winn-Dixie and Publix selling hurricane supplies.
