Stunning hair color doesn't require a modeling contract or a $600 salon bill. Any woman can have picture-perfect hair -- once she knows the new techniques.
By Patricia Tortolani
Multitonal hair can exist without
a dizzying array of highlights, lowlights, and glaze. Colorist Harry Josh prefers to process some
pieces longer (so they turn brighter) than others. Here, he gave Jessica Stam a "naturally weathered
look" with light champagne-colored ends; added dimension to Isabelli Fontana's chocolate brown locks with subtle caramel highlights; and gave Erin Wasson quintessential surfer-girl gold streaks throughout. Models' jeans, from left: H&M Mens, Colcci, and Diesel. Makeup Colors: Vintage Champagne Shadow Stylist, Suede Sensation Dream Mousse Shadow, and Heather SuperStay Lipcolor by Maybelline New York. Hair, Harry Josh for Serge Normant at John Frieda Salon; makeup, Dick Page. Prop stylist: Tom Bell. Fashion editor: Paul Cavaco. Details, see Credits page.
