What makes women, especially women of color, want to join a network or committee of other women? Is it mentorship opportunities, inspirational speakers, good breakfast food or the chance to list it on a CV?

A panel of women of color presented their reasons for joining the American Council on Education's Office of Women of Higher Education (OWHE) network, at the annual coordinators' meeting in Los Angeles in February.
