EL PASO, Texas -- The University of Texas System Board of Regents has approved $124 million for new and upgraded science and engineering buildings at the University of Texas at El Paso, a major step in boosting the University's research portfolio.

The largest single construction investment in UTEP's history, the funding will create new opportunities for interdisciplinary research while accommodating the growth in undergraduate and graduate enrollment in engineering and science programs.
