Several business schools in the U.S. are finding ways to help recruit and retain women in the business world, especially those who have taken time off from careers for family obligations. Among some of the programs are:
* Harvard University's weeklong mini-MBA program. Intended to help female alums refresh their management skills and re-enter the job market after time off, this program offers info on finance, marketing, IT, career planning and job interviewing. After drawing a very strong response, Harvard is planning to offer it again next year.
* Dartmouth University's Tuck School of Business' Back in Business program. Like Harvard's program, Back in Business covers basics like finance, marketing and career planning. The 11-day program, scheduled for October, also introduces participants to new laws and technology.
