Byline: Larger fleet on track as 17 Chinese car manufacturers sign up, writes Keith Wallis in Hong Kong

CHINA Ocean Shipping (Group), the nation's largest shipping company, has signed 15-year contracts with 17 Chinese vehicle manufacturers in what marks a significant expansion of Cosco's vehicle ro-ro operations.

Cosco confirmed that the strategic agreements would accelerate the growth of its car carrier fleet which is mainly operated by Cosco subsidiary Guangzhou Ocean Shipping based in southern China.
