Jan. 20--Booker T. Washington implored Americans 120 years ago: "Cast down your bucket where you are," in an attempt to unite black and white countrymen.

Today, the Buy 90 campaign is asking: "How big is your bucket?" in an attempt to unite black communities.

The campaign is an effort to quantify the "power of the African-American spending dollar" in Southeast Texas over a 90-day period.
