Dec. 19--DECATUR, Ill. -- Norman and Sandy Johnson took advantage of some free time Friday morning to ship the last of their Christmas gifts to family members across the United States.
"We're earlier than last year," Sandy said, hinting the last-minute gift mailing is a common occurrence.
Will her packages arrive on time?
"I hope so," she said, crossing her fingers.
History is on their side. The Decatur couple can remember only a few times presents arrived late -- one of them because the family member didn't go to the post office to pick it up.
