Nov. 29--Like athletes preparing for a marathon, shipping centers are getting ready for the year-end onslaught of holiday packages and looking forward to getting past the home stretch.
Beverly Kimber, owner of Mail N Ship 4 U, Wyomissing, said that on a typical day between Thanksgiving and Christmas, she will ship 200 parcels, and up to 500 on the busiest days.
"Every year I say it's not going to be as much but every year it grows and grows," Kimber said.
