Nov. 16--Triangle technology workers say they've accepted the continued offshoring of U.S. jobs as an inevitability.
Now they want to see the U.S. government act to retrain workers, consider security issues and restrict the availability of work visas into the country.
"Did I lose my job to [offshore] outsourcing? Probably so," said Julio Vazquez, who worked as a technical writer at IBM until 2002. "The reality is with the global economy being what it is, that was an inevitable step."
