Aug. 10--DELGADO ATTENDS LEADERSHIP SUMMIT: Carmen Delgado of Mondo/Delgado Salon & Spa in Bloomington recently attended the National Hispanic Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. The two-day conference provided a forum for more than 300 Hispanic participants from across the country to discuss a range of policy issues with members of Congress and the Bush administration. She was nominated to attend the conference by Ind. Sen. Richard Lugar.
GIRL SCOUT TRAINERS CERTIFIED: Girl Scouts of Tulip Trace Council certified six apprentice trainers following their completion of 18 hours of course work over a three month period. The six trainers will support the Tulip Trace Council by providing learning opportunities for volunteers in the 12 counties served by the council.
