Jul. 29--America Online continued to lose Internet subscribers in the second quarter, but its revenue rose modestly in part because of a rebound in advertising sales.
AOL, the Internet unit of media giant Time Warner Inc., lost 668,000 customers during the three-month period that ended in June, leaving it with 23.4 million U.S. subscribers and 30.8 million globally.
But quarterly sales at America Online rose 2 percent to $2.18 billion.
