Jul. 20--Central Carolina Bank will lose its name as part of its parent company's merger with Atlanta-based SunTrust, but it looks like most of its employees and virtually all of its branches will survive.
A general outline of what the merged operations of National Commerce Financial Corp., CCB's parent, and SunTrust will look like was released by the banks on Monday.
