Jul. 7--The judge urged the parties to settle. Some lawyers are surprised they haven't. But instead, the first gender-discrimination trial involving a Wall Street brokerage firm is scheduled to begin today in Manhattan.
The parties are Morgan Stanley, the No. 2 brokerage firm on Wall Street and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
