Jul. 7--Forest Laboratories Inc. has acquired the rights to market a drug that replicates the blood-clot-dissolving properties of vampire bat saliva.
Researchers believe the experimental drug, created by a German drug maker, has the potential to save thousands of stroke victims each year from extensive permanent brain damage.
