May 18--Most Bloomington-area businesses are relatively optimistic about the regional economy and generally believe Bloomington is a good place to do business.
That's according to a survey conducted by the Indiana Business Research Center presented Monday by Jerry Conover, director of the center, a division of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
"Things are not bad here in Bloomington as a place to do business," Conover said. "The firms and organizations that we talked to generally feel optimistic and are hiring more people and expanding their businesses."
